Digital Thanking Walls

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, TAP created a set of Digital Thanking Walls to enable everyone to publicly thank healthcare, education and other key workers for the amazing work they do.

Over 1,000 messages of thanks were viewed over 500,000 times on our website and across our social media channels, and on digital posters in London, Birmingham and Manchester, as well as read out on BBC local radio stations and BBC Radio 2 as part of the BBC’s Make a Difference campaign.

“Great work @TAPunsungheroes, helping to give thanks to key workers.”

Zoe Ball, BBC Radio 2 Presenter

Here are just some of the inspiring and heartfelt messages we received:

To: Hull University Teaching Hospital

“Thank you to all my colleagues at Hull University Teaching Hospital (Hull Royal Infirmary) – Chest Clinic, to all the A.R.A.S team and Respiratory teams. To the TB nurses and everyone, who comes to the clinic. Let’s keep on smiling and working through this. We can do it!”

To: Ashlyns Secondary School

“I would like say a massive thank you to all the Staff at my daughter’s school for providing such appropriate homework during what could be a very stressful time for our youngsters. It consists of academic work together with mindfulness activities and physical exercises to keep their minds and bodies fit and well while staying home. Thank you!”

We also received thanks from the organisations we passed the messages onto!
From: Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals

“Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your compliments. I have passed them on to the departments and individuals in question. In a time of increased stress and pressure in the NHS setting, it makes a massive difference to morale to hear positive comments about the service we provide. Thank you once again.”
